In addition to her academic role Siti is Executive Director the ASEAN Food & Beverage Alliance, where she is involve in the facilitation of intra-ASEAN trade. She is also an active member of the Malaysian Institute of Food Technology, where she is a fellow and past president. She has worked on several of the Malaysian Ministry of Health’s National Codex Committees, including those relating to food contaminants, labelling ad additives. She was also a member of the Working Group for the Department of Standards Malaysia’s Scheme for the Accreditation of Certification Bodies. She holds a DPhil in Food Science from Rutgers University, a Masters in Food Science from Michigan University and a BSc from the University of Minnesota, all in the USA.
